RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT POLICY:

We accept most credit cards, electronic fund transfers, balance of payment in cash on arrival by arrangement.

Foreign bank SWIFT fund transfer deposits must be duty free – Please add R155 to your deposit amount.

DEPOSITS:  To secure your booking we require:

100% deposit is required to secure a one night stay ~ 50% deposit is required for longer bookings (unless otherwise arranged)

Reservations will only be secured on receipt of deposit in our bank account. Proof of payment should be emailed to our email address (see bottom of the page) within 2 days of confirmation by Eastbury Cottage of availability.

BALANCE OF BOOKING TO BE PAID 14 DAYS BEFORE ARRIVAL (unless otherwise arranged)

NON REFUNDABLE CANCELLATION ADMIN FEE:  There will be a 10% non refundable cancellation admin fee on total booking

Bookings will be confirmed and acknowledged upon receipt of deposit in our bank account. (Should you not receive an acknowledgement, please contact us)

RATES: Rates are subject to change without prior notice.

Please inquire about our midweek winter specials and “last minute” specials throughout the year.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancellation 14 days and less before arrival date forfeits the full payment of the booking.

Cancellation 21 to 14 days before arrival date forfeits 75% of the deposit

Cancellation 30 to 21 days before arrival date forfeits 50% of the deposit.

Admin fee 10% of total booking cost on all cancellations

All shortened stays are subject to the payment of the full cost of the accommodation reserved irrespective of reason.

 CHECK IN AND DEPARTURE TIMES:

Check in:  Between 14h00 and 18h00  Please advise us your expected time of arrival by sms +27(0)826584945 or email us.

Checking in after 16h00?  Please advise us timeously so that we can make arrangements for your access to Eastbury Cottage and handing over of keys and gate remote.

Checking in earlier?  We shall be happy to store your luggage until your unit is ready for occupation on that day.

SERVICING UNITS POLICY: (Units at Eastbury Cottage are serviced daily, excluding RSA public holidays, or by previous arrangement)

Units at Eastbury Cottage will be freshened daily between 10h00 and 12h30 daily excluding public holidays or by previous notice. Please let Denise know if you do not require the service.

We strive to be environmentally friendly and follow a green policy*

Towels are therefore replaced every third/fourth day to promote conservation of power* and water resources*. Please request fresh towels more often, if required.

Linen will be changed every 5/7 days for longer stays*, unless otherwise requested.

A bin for recycling is provided in your unit.  Please use this for all clean glass, plastic bottles, cardboard, paper items, tins and polystyrene containers*.

 Complimentary dish washing soap and dish cloths are provided for your convenience for washing lunch and dinner dishes

Complimentary toiletries are placed in the units for you to use.  Please do not remove these or throw them away as we refill them to cut down own the single use of plastics.

CHILD POLICY:  We are child friendly and believe that these little people are our tourists of tomorrow!  The only request we have is that children ( and some times grown ups too) refrain from stomping on the floor of the Loft as the noise generated can disturb the guests below. Over the past 26 years we have accommodated little ones who are now “big ones”!

BREAKFAST POLICY:  A pre packed continental breakfast hamper will be packed into your fridge for self service.

Please pre-book for breakfast.

WATER RESTRICTIONS:  Please use water sparingly.  When Hermanus is on level 3 water restrictions, a bucket will be placed in your shower to contain the cold water.  Please use it for flushing the toilet or watering our pot plants/garden – Thank you!

OUR PET FRIENDLY POLICY:

Eastbury Cottage has 2 pet friendly units, namely the Garden Cottage and Courtyard, in which we welcome furry guests. We can also accommodate very small dogs like Yorkies or Maltese doggies in the Rose Room. However, if you have a particularly unusual or exotic pet, please contact us to discuss their visit.

Please observe the following conditions if you wish to bring a pet to Eastbury:

1. Provide details of your pet at the time of making your booking. Please consider whether your pet is suitable to bring to Eastbury i.e. it will not cause damage to property or behave aggressively.

2. A maximum of 2 pets can be accommodated per unit at Eastbury at any one time.

3. We request that your dog(s) be leashed at all times when outside your enclosed unit area, on the common property and in Hermanus.  The “Plaat” east of Grotto Beach is doggy friendly and owners walk their dogs unleashed on this beach area.

4. Please bring all the supplies you need to look after your pet during your stay. Bring your pet’s own bed, blanket, towels, food, bowls and toys. Please remember poop scoop bags, your dog’s lead, collar and any other essentials, such as medication.

5.  If you want to wash your dog, please request the large zinc basin we have for this purpose. Please bring your own doggie towel.

6. Please clear away your pet’s “poops”.  There are poop scoops provided at each  unit.

7. Please do not leave your doggie unattended in the unit. It is very disturbing to us all, hearing them cry for you.

8. Pets are not allowed on the furniture and beds.

9. Pets must be worm, tick and flea free.

10.  Pets are brought to Eastbury Cottage at your own risk.

11.  Your furry friends are very welcome but please bear in mind that you will be responsible for any damage.
